Jewish young people were open to the gospel in unexpected ways. Street evangelism flourished. Music ministry drew crowds.Dr. Mitch Glaser\, our president\, has a long spiritual history in the Bay Area. In fact\, he became a believer in San Francisco in November 1970. The story is really dramatic\, and I know you will enjoy it. It is an incredible testimony of God’s grace in the life of a young Jewish man from New York City. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nChosen People Ministries had work in San Francisco for decades\, and that ministry fell by the wayside over the last 10 or 15 years. DESCRIPTION:Simcha\, meaning “joy” in Hebrew\, is a time for believers to celebrate the joy we have in Messiah. This retreat is designed for Jewish believers and those affiliated with Chosen People Ministries or Messianic congregations in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Perfectly suited for both individuals and families of all sizes\, Simcha features worship\, teaching\, and workshops to deepen our walk with the Lord\, including children’s programs for kids and teens. We know this weekend together in nature will provide much-needed refreshment! \n\n\n\n“‘. . . all you people of the land take courage\,’ declares the Lord\, ‘and work; for I am with you\,’ declares the Lord of hosts” (Haggai 2:4).  \n\n\n\n\nWe offer housing options for individuals\, couples\, double occupancy with separate beds\, and family housing. All on-campus housing includes accommodations for three nights\, meals for Friday through Monday morning\, all main sessions for all ages\, and access to the conference center grounds for activities and pool time.\n\n\n\nOff-campus guests for the full weekend get full access to the events and conference center activities. Meals included dinner on Friday\, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday\, and breakfast on Monday. Off-campus housing allows commuters from the local area to come and enjoy the weekend with us. Many students are cautious\, fearful\, and concerned about their freedom of expression in their public identification as Jewish or as friends of Israel and Jewish people around the world. \n\n\n\nSadly\, many who wore yarmulkes and Jewish stars now think twice about wearing these symbols when in the public square. Some high school seniors are even rethinking where they are applying for college so they can go to schools deemed safe for Jewish students and their supporters. \n\n\n\nMaybe you have suffered from antisemitic attacks on your campus.
