SUMMARY:Galatians Through Jewish Eyes
DESCRIPTION:The New Testament book of Galatians is a letter the apostle Paul wrote to believers in Jesus in Galatia (part of what is now Turkey). Though it is only six chapters long\, many consider Galatians one of Paul’s most instructive—and controversial—letters. Paul focused on law\, grace\, and the relationship between Jewish and Gentile. Perhaps most importantly\, Paul clarified what the gospel even is. What did Yeshua come to do\, and what is this message of good news changing the world for millennia? \n\n\n\nAt our Galatians Bible study\, we will get to the heart of Paul’s instruction. Through a careful study of the text\, we will better understand and appreciate the nature of the gospel. This study will be on Tuesday nights over the course of ten weeks. The group leader is a Jewish believer with decades of ministry experience. Join us for informative and interactive studies in this crucial book of the Bible. \n\n\n\nThis is a free in-person event.

Bill and I were able to share our testimonies and also how God loved us enough to sacrifice His only Son\, Yeshua\, the spotless Lamb once and for all\, for our sins.” \nMarcelle\n\n\n\n\n“I had been talking to Mr. Luis for a few minutes…Suddenly he speaks up\, ”Now I have Jewish friends\, and you’re saying that this is for them?” Bingo! If nothing else\, I hope that I have represented to Luis that God cares for the Jews\, His people. That God has a plan extending far into history which He has not given up on. Yes\, believing in Jesus is very Jewish.” \nJonathan\n\n\n\n\n“As I was passing out tracts\, a bus driver got off the bus and came up to me and said\, “Hey\, where did you come from?” I laughed as I handed him a brochure. He said\, “What are you doing out here?” I began to explain to him about Jesus. He said\, “Wow\, so amazing. God bless you. I wish I had more time” as he hurried off back to the bus.” \nMissy\n\n\n\n\n“A young student from NYU came up to the table asking if the information would help him with emotional struggles in his life due to serious medical problems and surgery he recently had. We were able to share that the God of peace can reveal Himself through Isaiah 53 as explained in the book he was holding.” \nRon

SUMMARY:Courage Conference
DESCRIPTION:“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed\, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” \nJoshua 1:9\n\n\n\nWhy This Conference Now?\n\n\n\nYou might have experienced the antisemitism raging on our campuses yourself. \n\n\n\nThe current conflict between Israel and Hamas has greatly exacerbated the situation. The melding of Jewish people and Israelis in the minds of pro-Palestinian activists and their sympathizers has resulted in Jewish people around the globe\, especially on college campuses\, becoming a lightning rod for the rage and antisemitic hatred of Jewish people by the protestors and their supporters. \n\n\n\nThis anti-Jewish activism has resulted in the vengeful targeting of Jewish students\, their supporters\, and students favorable to the modern State of Israel. Many students are cautious\, fearful\, and concerned about their freedom of expression in their public identification as Jewish or as friends of Israel and Jewish people around the world. \n\n\n\nSadly\, many who wore yarmulkes and Jewish stars now think twice about wearing these symbols when in the public square. Some high school seniors are even rethinking where they are applying for college so they can go to schools deemed safe for Jewish students and their supporters. \n\n\n\nMaybe you have suffered from antisemitic attacks on your campus. Do you find yourself limiting your ministry activities or pro-Israel efforts because of the current fierce opposition on campus? We need Holy Spirit-infused COURAGE and wisdom to stand for the Lord and His people on campus! \n\n\n\nIs this Conference for You?\n\n\n\nThe COURAGE conference seeks to equip university and college students\, both undergraduate and graduate\, to stand in the face of antisemitism’s growing influence on campus. \n\n\n\nThe conference is open to all undergraduate or graduate students interested in: \n\n\n\n\nopposing antisemitism\n\n\n\nstanding for Israel on campus\n\n\n\nshowing solidarity with Jewish campus groups and Jewish friends\n\n\n\nbringing the gospel to Jewish people\n\n\n\n\nIt will be especially meaningful and purposeful to prepare for the upcoming semester! \n\n\n\nAlong with Bible teaching on how to handle persecution\, there will be practical sessions on how to respond to opposition and maintain good security. We will discuss tips for approaching faculty and campus administration for support\, integrating your faith in Jesus with your fight for Jewish people\, and more.  We also plan to provide opportunities for group prayer\, discussion\, networking\, and the development of strategies for succeeding as courageous followers of Yeshua on campus.  This conference is for you! \n\n\n\nCost\n\n\n\n$50 (All on-site expenses will be covered for the conference. Aid for up to half your transportation costs is available if you cannot afford the funds and a parent\, congregation\, or church cannot help you.) \n\n\n\nContact/Questions: courage@chosenpeople.com \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFeatured Speakers and Artists\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMitch Glaser\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMichael Rydelnik\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFAQ\n\n\n\nWhere will we be staying?\nWe will be staying in downtown Chicago at Moody Bible Institute. The wonderful location will give you access to notable sites like the Magnificent Mile and Lakeshore along with opportunities to try delicious Chicago-style pizza and other cuisines near the campus. You will share a room with one roommate and share bathrooms with everyone on your floor. One floor will be for men\, and one floor will be for women. \n\n\n\nMoody Bible Institute is a smoke-free\, alcohol-free\, and drug-free environment. The possession or use of tobacco in any form and the possession or use of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. The possession or use of illegal drugs in any form is prohibited and will involve local law enforcement officials when appropriate. \n\n\n\n\nHow should I dress?\nBusiness casual during conference sessions; nicer attire for Friday Sabbath dinner. \n\n\n\nDRESS: As a community of Christians from many different backgrounds around the world\, encountering differences within our community (e.g.\, culture\, age\, gender\, and personal preferences) is natural. Because of the diversity present at any time while on MBI’s campus\, we must intentionally communicate our community values\, both verbally and non-verbally. \n\n\n\nDress is an expression of our non-verbal communication. The purpose of the dress guidelines is to ensure we communicate by our dress the respect and dignity due each other. \n\n\n\nSince we live in a community with differences in perspective regarding dress standards\, we ask that MBI guests make wise and conscientious decisions about personal appearance while on Moody’s campus. Moody encourages students and guests in their clothing choices to exercise responsible freedom while representing themselves as image-bearers of God. \n\n\n\n\nWhen should I arrive and depart?\nPlease arrive at Moody Bible Institute for check-in between 2 pm and 5 pm on Thursday\, August 15. Dinner begins at 6 pm. \n\n\n\nThe conference is over after breakfast on Sunday\, August 18\, but we will have an optional tour of Chicago afterward. \n\n\n\nIf you arrive or depart outside of these hours\, you are welcome to store your bags on campus. \n\n\n\n\nArrival in Chicago\nWe will not be picking up attendees from their arrival point.  There are several ways to get from your arrival point to Moody’s campus\, including public transportation\, taxi\, and teleport). Please research your preferred way to Moody. \n\n\n\n\nDoes the conference cover meals?\nYes\, three meals a day\, including a special Sabbath dinner. Please indicate if you have dietary choices (gluten-free\, vegetarian\, vegan\, dairy-free\, food allergies\, etc.) so we can make sure there are adequate choices. We will not be rabbinically kosher\, but there will NOT be pork or shellfish. \n\n\n\n\nCan I stay longer in Chicago?\nOf course\, you can stay longer in Chicago\, but you must secure your own housing. \n\n\n\n\nWill there be free time?\nBecause of the nature of the conference\, there will not be much free time. If you want time to explore the city\, we suggest you arrive early on Thursday or stay longer on Sunday. \n\n\n\n\nSafety in the city\nIf you plan to head out at night\, please be mindful of where you are going and go out in groups of at least three. Moody has public safety staff patrolling the campus if you need any help. \n\n\n\nMBI guidelines regarding safety and security: \n\n\n\nSAFETY & SECURITY: All residents must carry their keys or fobs at all times. Personal valuables should not be left unattended at any time. Because of the location of the Institute\, all conference attendees should exercise caution and dress modestly when off-campus. Keep to well-lit streets. Do not leave the campus area alone at night. Since there is the possibility of purse-snatching\, please hang on to them and carry as little money as possible. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nApplication\n\n\n\nLoading…\n\n\n\nAfter you submit the above application\, please send the reference form (linked below) to one person. SUMMARY:Virtual Messiah in the Passover
DESCRIPTION:At Passover\, we gather with friends and family to retell the story of Israel’s swift exodus from Egypt. It is God’s redemption story\, sparing His people from the Egyptian plagues and ultimately delivering them from slavery and death. In addition\, we honor Jesus in the Passover\, as He is the Passover Lamb who was slain to make a way for us to the Father through His once-and-for-all sacrifice (Hebrews 10:11–14). \n\n\n\nExperiencing a Seder will enrich your faith in Messiah and give you a greater appreciation for your biblical heritage. Plus\, this is a great opportunity to experience something Jesus did with His disciples. Not only that\, but the Bible says that it was something that He had been waiting for: “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer” (Luke 22:15). \n\n\n\nLet us celebrate this Passover with you! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHosted by Rich Flashman\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDownloads

SUMMARY:Shalom New York 2025
DESCRIPTION:About Shalom New York\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvery summer\, believers from all over the United States gather in New York City for Shalom New York to proclaim the good news to our beloved Jewish people! \n\n\n\nWe know nothing is more important than the true hope\, peace (shalom)\, and forgiveness of sins we graciously receive through Yeshua (Jesus)\, the Messiah. \n\n\n\nThis truth is especially critical right now when Jewish people around the world face a growing onslaught of antisemitism. Yet\, many Jewish people are more open to spiritual matters during this time! \n\n\n\nIn addition to our usual cutting-edge training\, street ministry\, and follow-up\, we also feature a special Jewish cultural day\, Sabbath dinner celebration\, and more. \n\n\n\nIf you love to proclaim your faith in Jesus and have a heart for Israel and Jewish people\, Shalom New York 2025 may be the most significant opportunity you will ever have to realize God’s great evangelistic purpose for your life! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWhen you participate\, you will:\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn from some of our most experienced missionaries \n\n\n\nDiscover the Jewish community of New York City \n\n\n\nDo ministry in different contexts—urban and suburban\, Orthodox and secular\, etc. \n\n\n\nFollow God’s priority in evangelism—“to the Jew first” (Romans 1:16) \n\n\n\nBuild relationships with other believers who are passionate about God’s chosen people\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCost\n\n\n\n$1750with hotel accommodations$600without hotel accommodations\n\n\n\nThe cost includes food\, supplies\, T-shirts\, a backpack\, training and evangelistic materials\, cultural excursions\, and transportation within the city. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShow the love of Yeshua to Jewish communities throughout New York City\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTestimonials\n\n\n\n\n“I handed an “I Found Shalom” tract to a 30-year-old Israeli man who said\, “I am looking for shalom.” I said\, “I have found shalom…. SUMMARY:Simcha Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Simcha\, meaning “joy” in Hebrew\, is a time for believers to celebrate the joy we have in Messiah. This retreat is designed for Jewish believers and those affiliated with Chosen People Ministries or Messianic congregations in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. Perfectly suited for both individuals and families of all sizes\, Simcha features worship\, teaching\, and workshops to deepen our walk with the Lord\, including children’s programs for kids and teens. We know this weekend together in nature will provide much-needed refreshment! \n\n\n\n“‘. . . all you people of the land take courage\,’ declares the Lord\, ‘and work; for I am with you\,’ declares the Lord of hosts” (Haggai 2:4). \n\n\n\n\nWe offer housing options for individuals\, couples\, double occupancy with separate beds\, and family housing. All on-campus housing includes accommodations for three nights\, meals for Friday through Monday morning\, all main sessions for all ages\, and access to the conference center grounds for activities and pool time.\n\n\n\nOff-campus guests for the full weekend get full access to the events and conference center activities. Meals included dinner on Friday\, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday\, and breakfast on Monday. Off-campus housing allows commuters from the local area to come and enjoy the weekend with us. If we are fully booked\, this option allows guests to find housing accommodations at local hotels and still enjoy Simcha with us!\n\n\n\nDay guests can choose to come for a full or half day of events. A full day includes two main sessions\, workshop attendance\, activities on the conference grounds like the pool\, and two meals (lunch and dinner). Children who attend as day guests can participate in their programs during main sessions and childcare is provided during the workshops for adults to attend. Half-day guests can choose to attend one main session\, one meal\, and access to the conference grounds. Half-day registration does not include workshop sessions.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“Failure: The Path to Success”\n\n\n\nA Series on the Book of Haggai \n\n\n\nToo often after we fail\, we just give up as if God can never use us again. Could it be that God wants to use our failures to draw us closer to Him and build qualities in us that He can use to advance His kingdom? After Israel returned from captivity and stopped rebuilding the Temple\, the prophet Haggai challenged the nation to use their failure to set them on a path to success. That same lesson applies to us as God uses our mistakes\, setbacks\, and even our sins\, to experience His forgiveness and draw us closer so we can love and serve Him forever. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMessages:\n\n\n\n\nReordering Our Priorities: Haggai 1:1–15 (Friday night)\n\n\n\nRefocusing Our Perspective: Haggai 2:1–9 (Saturday Morning)\n\n\n\nRenewing Our Purity: Haggai 2:10–19 (Saturday Evening)\n\n\n\nRemembering God’s Promise: Haggai 2:20–23 (Sunday Evening)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpecial Guests\n\n\n\n\n\nDavid and Jamie Boskey—Worship \n\n\n\nDavid and Jamie Boskey have been serving the Lord in full-time ministry in Jerusalem for over a decade. Both are graduates of Moody Bible Institute\, where they met and fell in love. David was raised in a Messianic Jewish home in Israel\, and Jamie grew up in the cornfields of Indiana. SUMMARY:Remembering October 7
DESCRIPTION:Why We Remember\n\n\n\nOn the morning of October 7\, 2023\, the world changed. \n\n\n\nThousands of innocent Israelis awoke to sirens\, gunfire\, and unthinkable terror. What began as a peaceful holiday weekend turned into the deadliest day for Jewish people since the Holocaust. More than 1\,200 people were murdered. Families were torn apart. Hostages were taken into Gaza—many of whom are still held captive to this day. \n\n\n\nTwo years later\, we refuse to forget. \n\n\n\nAs Psalm 137:5–6 declares\,“If I forget you\, O Jerusalem\, may my right hand forget her skill. May my tongue cling to the roof of my mouth if I do not remember you\, if I do not exalt Jerusalem above my chief joy.”\n\n\n\nWe invite you to join us for Remembering October 7—a solemn and heartfelt memorial gathering sponsored by Chosen People Ministries and the Coalition Against Antisemitism. This evening is a call to remember the lives lost\, to honor the resilience of the Jewish people\, and to respond in prayer\, solidarity\, and action as antisemitism continues to rise. \n\n\n\nWhat to Expect\n\n\n\nThis intimate gathering will include: \n\n\n\n\nscreening of the Remembering October 7 video\n\n\n\nreading the names of those still held hostage in Gaza\n\n\n\nmessages of comfort and hope for Israel\n\n\n\ncall to action to stand against antisemitism\n\n\n\nreception with time to connect and reflect\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRSVP\n\n\n\nSpace is limited. SUMMARY:Trinity Conference
DESCRIPTION:Charles L. Feinberg Center for Messianic Jewish Studies + OnlineCommemorating 1\,700 Years Since the Council of Nicaea \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIs the Trinity Self-Contradictory? A Jewish Perspective on History’s Most Pivotal Question\n\n\n\nThe Trinity has remained both central to Christian faith and profoundly misunderstood—especially within Jewish evangelism. This November\, discover why the Council of Nicaea’s legacy demands fresh examination from those who understand both the Hebrew Scriptures and the Jewish heart. \n\n\n\nBecause of limited space\, in-person attendance is capped at seventy guests\, and we expect seats to fill quickly—so please register soon to reserve your spot. \n\n\n\nIf you cannot join us in person\, you can still take part through our online hybrid option\, allowing you to experience every session and message from wherever you are. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister To Watch Online\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhy This Conference Matters Now\n\n\n\nThe Trinity serves as the theological foundation that determines how Jewish people hear the gospel. When we fumble the Trinity\, we lose both biblical clarity and evangelistic effectiveness. \n\n\n\nThis year marks the 1\,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea\, when the church clarified and articulated our understanding of God’s triune nature. Yet most believers cannot explain why the Trinity matters for Jewish evangelism. Meanwhile\, Jewish objections to “three gods” continue to create barriers that proper theology could remove. \n\n\n\nWe know the Trinity is true—but can we defend it biblically and present it compellingly to the people of Israel? \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYour Expert Faculty\n\n\n\n\nDr. John Feinberg\, Professor Emeritus of Biblical and Systematic Theology at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School\, who will be teaching on “Is the Doctrine of the Trinity Self-Contradictory”. \n\n\n\n\n\nDr. Brian Rosner\, an internationally known New Testament scholar\, who will be teaching on “Paul’s View of the Trinity.” \n\n\n\n\n\nDr. Fred Sanders\, a systematic theologian focusing on the doctrine of the Trinity\, and he will be teaching “The Voice of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament.”   \n\n\n\n\n\nRobert Walter will be teaching on The Trinitarian Shape of Yeshua’s Baptism\, Transfiguration\, and Crucifixion in Matthew \n\n\n\n\n\nDr. Brian Crawford\, Director of Digital Evangelism at Chosen People Ministries\, who will be presenting a paper entitled\, “Christological Heresies in Light of Judaism Ancient and Modern. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nConference Details\n\n\n\nWhen: November 13 (6:30pm-8:30pm) – 14\, 2025 (9am-3pm)Where: Charles L. We exist to “pray for\, evangelize\, disciple\, and serve Jewish people everywhere and to help fellow believers do the same.” \n\n\n\nThis conference reflects both organizations’ core conviction: We believe there is one infinite and perfect God\, eternally existing in three distinct and equal persons—Father\, Son\, and Holy Spirit—and Jewish people deserve to hear this truth presented with both scholarly excellence and cultural sensitivity. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister To Watch In-Person\n\n\n\nRegister To Watch Online

SUMMARY:Chosen People Ministries Returns to the Bay Area
DESCRIPTION:Chosen People Ministries Returns to the Bay AreaIn 1970\, Chosen People Ministries sent a team to San Francisco during the height of the Jesus Movement. Jewish young people were open to the gospel in unexpected ways. Street evangelism flourished. Music ministry drew crowds.Dr. Mitch Glaser\, our president\, has a long spiritual history in the Bay Area. In fact\, he became a believer in San Francisco in November 1970. The story is really dramatic\, and I know you will enjoy it. It is an incredible testimony of God’s grace in the life of a young Jewish man from New York City. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nChosen People Ministries had work in San Francisco for decades\, and that ministry fell by the wayside over the last 10 or 15 years. But we are committed to reaching the 400\,000 Jewish people in the greater Bay Area. \n\n\n\nIt’s been many years since we had an active work here. God is calling us back. \n\n\n\nIt Begins with HanukkahWe’re gathering on the first night of Hanukkah—December 14th—at Sunset Church in San Francisco. Dr. Mitch Glaser will be teaching. We’ll light the menorah\, share traditional foods\, and explore how this Festival of Dedication points to Yeshua\, the Light of the World. \n\n\n\nSunday\, December 14\, 20255:00 PM – 7:00 PMSunset Church (CE Sanctuary)3635 Lawton Street\, San Francisco\, CA 94122 \n\n\n\nWhat we’ll do together: \n\n\n\n\nLight the Hanukkah menorah\n\n\n\nEnjoy traditional Hanukkah foods (latkes!)\n\n\n\nSing Hanukkah songs and play dreidel\n\n\n\nHear Dr. Glaser teach on Hanukkah and the Messiah\n\n\n\nSpecial program for children\n\n\n\n\nBring your Jewish friends. Bring your family. Whether you’ve celebrated Hanukkah your whole life or this is your first time\, you’re welcome. \n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to ExpectSpace is limited. Please register by December 12th \n\n\n\nWhat Comes NextThis Hanukkah celebration is the first step. Where it leads—a regular fellowship\, a congregation\, a hub for outreach across the Bay Area—we’ll see. But here’s what we know: Jewish people in this region need to hear about Yeshua. Believers need community. And God has proven faithful to this work before. \n\n\n\nWe are convinced that God can move again in power in the San Francisco Bay area. We need your prayers in presence and I hope that you will consider joining us at our Hanukkah celebration on Sunday afternoon at 5 PM on December 14 at Sunset Church. I will see you there. \n\n\n\nCome December 14th. Be part of what’s beginning. \n\n\n\nQuestions?Contact Roy Schwarcz at royschwarcz@chosenpeople.com \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRSVP\n\n\n\nPlease RSVP by clicking here.

SUMMARY:Fun in the Son 2026
DESCRIPTION:About Fun in the Son\n\n\n\nHow many times have you said… \n\n\n\n“I have this Jewish (friend\, neighbor\, doctor)\, and I really want to share the Lord with him or her\, but I don’t know how to?” Chosen People Ministries would like to offer you an answer. \n\n\n\nOur Fun in the Son evangelistic outreach is both an educational and cultural program designed to help you learn the Jewish roots of our Christian faith and put this knowledge into practical application. You can share the Messiah with your Jewish friends! \n\n\n\nSouth Florida is the 2nd largest Jewish population in the USA. 750\,000 Jewish people who live in South Florida desperately need to hear the gospel.  South Florida truly resembles Luke 10:2 “The harvest is plentiful\, but the workers are few.” Fun in the Son will be held in beautiful Boynton Beach\, in Palm Beach County. \n\n\n\nOur time together will be during the height of “the Season\,” when thousands of “snowbirds” flock here to stay for the “winter.” During this time population doubles\, and it seems like the people are mostly Jewish from New York. \n\n\n\nWe promise you a week of planting and harvesting the gospel seed for his harvest.  We will truly exalt the Son in the Sunshine state during Fun in the Son. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nContact\n\n\n\nFor more information\, please contact Jim Fox (561) 737-1431 or jfox@chosenpeople.com

SUMMARY:Simcha South Retreat
DESCRIPTION:This year’s theme: Shavuot (Pentecost) \n\n\n\nSimcha\, meaning “joy” in Hebrew\, is a time for believers to celebrate the joy we have in Messiah. This retreat is designed for Jewish and Gentile believers in Jesus affiliated with Chosen People Ministries or Messianic congregations in the Southeast region of the United States. Perfectly suited for both individuals and families of all sizes\, Simcha features musical worship\, teaching\, and workshops to deepen our walk with the Lord. Children’s programs will also be available. All on-campus housing includes accommodations for two nights\, meals for Friday dinner through Sunday lunch\, all main sessions for all ages\, and access to the retreat center grounds for activities and pool time.\n\n\n\nOff-campus guests for the full weekend get full access to the events and conference center activities. Meals include dinner on Friday through lunch on Sunday. Off-campus housing allows commuters from the local area to come and enjoy the weekend with us. If we are fully booked\, this option allows guests to find housing accommodations at local hotels and still enjoy Simcha with us!\n\n\n\n\nRegistration will open the first week of March. \n\n\n\nCost per person for the event is between $80-$220 depending on the age (child or adult) and accommodations (single/double occupancy\, and off- or on-campus). \n\n\n\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n\n\n\nMichael Herts \n\n\n\nDr. Michael Herts\, a Jewish believer in Jesus\, was raised on Long Island\, New York. He faithfully attended a Conservative Jewish synagogue and became a Bar Mitzvah at age 13. In 10th grade\, he was first exposed to the good news of Messiah in an understandable way. After two years of searching\, he came to believe Jesus is the Jewish Messiah. \n\n\n\nFrom that moment his whole life changed. His family was very hurt and some were very angry about his decision. Contrary to what his grandmother thought he did not become a Gentile but instead gained a deeper appreciation of what it meant to really be Jewish. To worship and serve the God of Israel\, and accept His Messiah\, His plan of Atonement and reconciliation suddenly made sense. \n\n\n\nAs Dr. Herts grew in his faith\, he gained a deeper understanding of the connection between the older and newer covenants. He came to understand the importance of being a testimony to God’s faithfulness to His people by maintaining his Jewish identity\, showing that he can be Jewish and believe in Jesus. With time his heart became even more burdened for reaching Jewish people with the good news of Messiah. \n\n\n\nOver the years he has served in leadership positions in various congregational settings. In 2005 he formed a team to plant a congregation in Virginia. In 2009 he received his ordination. In July 2010 he accepted the invitation to serve God as a missionary with Chosen People Ministries. \n\n\n\nHe is the husband of a retired United States Air Force Colonel. He is also the proud father of three wonderful children who each love the Lord. He earned a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.)\, a Master of Education (M.Ed.)\, and a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree. \n\n\n\n\n\nRich Freeman \n\n\n\nRichard Freeman was born and raised in Brooklyn\, New York in a traditionally Jewish\, though not religious\, family. He did\, however\, receive religious training for five years in a conservative synagogue and received his Bar Mitzvah at age thirteen. Following that experience\, though staunchly Jewish nationalistically\, he drifted away from the synagogue and attended only on the special Jewish holidays. \n\n\n\nIn 1973 Rich married Julia DeBellis who was from an Italian Catholic background. It was primarily through Julia’s spiritual pilgrimage that God reached Rich. But first he met a born-again Christian\, his supervisor at work. Though Rich responded angrily at first to this man sharing his faith\, his life was a wonderful testimony of the peace and joy that comes to those who put their faith and trust in the Lord. The joy in his life made Rich jealous and opened his heart to what was to come. In August 1982\, Julia accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and immediately began praying for her husband’s salvation. In January 1983\, God answered that prayer. Through the ministry of Chosen People Ministries\, Rich heard and responded to the gospel message and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Immediately\, God gave him a hunger to know Him and His Word intimately. He immersed himself in the Bible and was discipled by his pastor. \n\n\n\nIn the summer of 1987 Rich and Julia responded to God’s call and moved to Dallas\, Texas where he attended Dallas Theological Seminary. While in Dallas\, Rich worked as a missionary with Chosen People Ministries. Before finishing the degree program at Dallas\, he was called to pastor the congregation where he was saved\, Light of Israel Messianic Congregation. He became pastor of that congregation in December 1989. In 1994\, Rich also became pastor of Dunwoodie Baptist Church in Yonkers\, New York\, which is where Light of Israel’s services were held. For five years of his ten-year pastorate he enjoyed the unique challenge of pastoring two congregations. \n\n\n\nRich finished his studies\, begun in Dallas\, at Conservative Baptist Seminary of the East\, where he received his M.Div.\, in September 1994. On July 1\, 1999 he assumed his position as Vice-President and Director of Church Ministries and Conferences for Chosen People Ministries. Rich received his D.Min. at Gordon- Conwell Seminary in 2004. \n\n\n\nRich works with churches throughout the country and abroad. He teaches Bible Conferences on various topics such as Jewish Evangelism\, Messianic Prophecy\, End-Time Prophecy\, The Church and Israel\, The Feasts of Israel\, and much more. He also ministers to local churches in Florida where he and his family reside. \n\n\n\n\n\nJim FoxThe Law has become the central focus of modern Judaism. It has also become an issue of contention among believers. On Saturday evening Jim will be sharing a message on “The Believer’s Relationship to the Law” \n\n\n\nJim Fox came to know the Lord through the work of Chosen People Ministries (then the American Board of Missions to the Jews) as a child in Coney Island\, Brooklyn. He was discipled over the years by a number of CPM missionaries. After getting an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and spending some time in the Navy\, he and his young family went to Dallas where Jim earned a ThM in Pastoral Ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary. He spent time on staff with Chosen People Ministries in the New York area for a number of years before going into pastoral ministry for 13 years. He returned to CPM to assist with the work in South Florida. \n\n\n\nJim helps lead three of the monthly Messianic Fellowships in South Florida\, leads the annual Fun in the Son outreach in South Florida\, and is an elder of Common Ground Church in Lake Worth Beach. He is married to his best friend and partner in ministry Rebecca. They have four children and six grandchildren. Jim & Rebecca lead worship at three of our Messianic Fellowships and also assist in worship at their church. \n\n\n\n\n\nRoy Schwarcz \n\n\n\nRoy Schwarcz was born and raised in New York City and grew up deeply connected to his Jewish heritage. After coming to faith in Yeshua as the promised Messiah of Israel\, he devoted his life to Jewish ministry and gospel outreach. \n\n\n\nRoy has served on college campuses\, led home Bible studies\, and helped plant Messianic congregations in the Chicago area and in Toronto\, Ontario. Today\, his primary ministry focus is in the Chicago region\, where he leads  Beth Sar Shalom \, a monthly Messianic Jewish fellowship that meets at Moody Church. He also serves with the  Olive Tree Congregation  in the Chicago suburbs\, the first congregation he planted with Chosen People Ministries. In addition to his local ministry\, Roy serves as Vice President for Fellowships and Congregations with Chosen People Ministries and is leading a team to establish a new outreach in the Bay Area\, beginning in the city of San Francisco. \n\n\n\nRoy is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and holds a Master of Arts in Theology from the  Charles L. Feinberg Center  at Biola University. He is the author of  Where Jesus Walked . Roy and his wife Joanne are blessed with four daughters and eleven grandchildren.

SUMMARY:Shalom New York 2026
DESCRIPTION:About Shalom New York\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvery summer\, believers from all over the United States gather in New York City for Shalom New York to proclaim the good news to our beloved Jewish people! \n\n\n\nWe know nothing is more important than the true hope\, peace (shalom)\, and forgiveness of sins we graciously receive through Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah. \n\n\n\nThis truth is especially critical right now when Jewish people around the world face a growing onslaught of antisemitism. Yet\, many Jewish people are more open to spiritual matters during this time! \n\n\n\nDuring Shalom New York\, we break up into small teams to go out and share the gospel at various locations throughout the city: in parks\, in subway stations\, and on the streets. In addition to our usual cutting-edge training\, outreach\, and follow-up\, we also feature a special Jewish cultural day\, Sabbath dinner celebration\, and more. \n\n\n\nIf you love to proclaim your faith in Jesus and have a heart for Israel and Jewish people\, Shalom New York 2026 may be one of the most significant opportunities you will have to be part of God’s work of drawing His people to Himself! \n\n\n\nFollow God’s priority in evangelism—“to the Jew first” (Romans 1:16) \n\n\n\nBuild relationships with other believers who are passionate about God’s chosen people\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCost\n\n\n\n$1850with hotel accommodations$650without hotel accommodations\n\n\n\nThe cost includes food\, supplies\, T-shirts\, a backpack\, training and evangelistic materials\, cultural excursions\, and transportation within the city. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShow the love of Yeshua to Jewish communities throughout New York City\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTestimonials\n\n\n\n\nI handed an “I Found Shalom” tract to a 30-year-old Israeli man who said\, “I am looking for shalom.” I said\, “I have found shalom. . . .” Bill and I were able to share our testimonies and also how God loved us enough to sacrifice His only Son\, Yeshua\, the spotless Lamb once and for all\, for our sins. \nMarcelle\n\n\n\n\nI had been talking to Mr. Luis for a few minutes . . . . Suddenly he speaks up\, ”Now I have Jewish friends\, and you’re saying that this is for them?” Bingo! If nothing else\, I hope that I have represented to Luis that God cares for the Jews\, His people. That God has a plan extending far into history which He has not given up on. Yes\, believing in Jesus is very Jewish. \nJonathan\n\n\n\n\nAs I was passing out tracts\, a bus driver got off the bus and came up to me and said\, “Hey\, where did you come from?” I laughed as I handed him a brochure. He said\, “What are you doing out here?” I began to explain to him about Jesus. He said\, “Wow\, so amazing. God bless you. I wish I had more time” as he hurried off back to the bus. \nMissy\n\n\n\n\nA young student from NYU came up to the table asking if the information would help him with emotional struggles in his life due to serious medical problems and surgery he recently had. We were able to share that the God of peace can reveal Himself through Isaiah 53 as explained in the book he was holding. \nRon\n\n\n\n\nApply now!
