SUMMARY:Simcha South Retreat
DESCRIPTION:This year’s theme: Shavuot (Pentecost) \n\n\n\nSimcha\, meaning “joy” in Hebrew\, is a time for believers to celebrate the joy we have in Messiah. This retreat is designed for Jewish and Gentile believers in Jesus affiliated with Chosen People Ministries or Messianic congregations in the Southeast region of the United States. Perfectly suited for both individuals and families of all sizes\, Simcha features musical worship\, teaching\, and workshops to deepen our walk with the Lord. Children’s programs will also be available. We know this weekend together in nature will provide much-needed refreshment! \n\n\n\n“‘. . . all you people of the land take courage\,’ declares the Lord\, ‘and work; for I am with you\,’ declares the Lord of hosts” (Haggai 2:4). \n\n\n\n\nWe offer housing options for individuals\, couples\, double occupancy with separate beds\, and family housing. All on-campus housing includes accommodations for two nights\, meals for Friday dinner through Sunday lunch\, all main sessions for all ages\, and access to the retreat center grounds for activities and pool time.\n\n\n\nOff-campus guests for the full weekend get full access to the events and conference center activities. Meals include dinner on Friday through lunch on Sunday. Off-campus housing allows commuters from the local area to come and enjoy the weekend with us. If we are fully booked\, this option allows guests to find housing accommodations at local hotels and still enjoy Simcha with us!\n\n\n\n\nRegistration will open the first week of March. \n\n\n\nCost per person for the event is between $80-$220 depending on the age (child or adult) and accommodations (single/double occupancy\, and off- or on-campus). \n\n\n\n\n\nSpeakers\n\n\n\n\nMichael Herts \n\n\n\nDr. Michael Herts\, a Jewish believer in Jesus\, was raised on Long Island\, New York. He faithfully attended a Conservative Jewish synagogue and became a Bar Mitzvah at age 13. In 10th grade\, he was first exposed to the good news of Messiah in an understandable way. After two years of searching\, he came to believe Jesus is the Jewish Messiah. \n\n\n\nFrom that moment his whole life changed. His family was very hurt and some were very angry about his decision. Contrary to what his grandmother thought he did not become a Gentile but instead gained a deeper appreciation of what it meant to really be Jewish. To worship and serve the God of Israel\, and accept His Messiah\, His plan of Atonement and reconciliation suddenly made sense. \n\n\n\nAs Dr. Herts grew in his faith\, he gained a deeper understanding of the connection between the older and newer covenants. He came to understand the importance of being a testimony to God’s faithfulness to His people by maintaining his Jewish identity\, showing that he can be Jewish and believe in Jesus. With time his heart became even more burdened for reaching Jewish people with the good news of Messiah. \n\n\n\nOver the years he has served in leadership positions in various congregational settings. In 2005 he formed a team to plant a congregation in Virginia. In 2009 he received his ordination. In July 2010 he accepted the invitation to serve God as a missionary with Chosen People Ministries. \n\n\n\nHe is the husband of a retired United States Air Force Colonel. He is also the proud father of three wonderful children who each love the Lord. He earned a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.)\, a Master of Education (M.Ed.)\, and a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree. \n\n\n\n\n\nRich Freeman \n\n\n\nRichard Freeman was born and raised in Brooklyn\, New York in a traditionally Jewish\, though not religious\, family. He did\, however\, receive religious training for five years in a conservative synagogue and received his Bar Mitzvah at age thirteen. Following that experience\, though staunchly Jewish nationalistically\, he drifted away from the synagogue and attended only on the special Jewish holidays. \n\n\n\nIn 1973 Rich married Julia DeBellis who was from an Italian Catholic background. It was primarily through Julia’s spiritual pilgrimage that God reached Rich. But first he met a born-again Christian\, his supervisor at work. Though Rich responded angrily at first to this man sharing his faith\, his life was a wonderful testimony of the peace and joy that comes to those who put their faith and trust in the Lord. The joy in his life made Rich jealous and opened his heart to what was to come. In August 1982\, Julia accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and immediately began praying for her husband’s salvation. In January 1983\, God answered that prayer. Through the ministry of Chosen People Ministries\, Rich heard and responded to the gospel message and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Immediately\, God gave him a hunger to know Him and His Word intimately. He immersed himself in the Bible and was discipled by his pastor. \n\n\n\nIn the summer of 1987 Rich and Julia responded to God’s call and moved to Dallas\, Texas where he attended Dallas Theological Seminary. While in Dallas\, Rich worked as a missionary with Chosen People Ministries. Before finishing the degree program at Dallas\, he was called to pastor the congregation where he was saved\, Light of Israel Messianic Congregation. He became pastor of that congregation in December 1989. In 1994\, Rich also became pastor of Dunwoodie Baptist Church in Yonkers\, New York\, which is where Light of Israel’s services were held. For five years of his ten-year pastorate he enjoyed the unique challenge of pastoring two congregations. \n\n\n\nRich finished his studies\, begun in Dallas\, at Conservative Baptist Seminary of the East\, where he received his M.Div.\, in September 1994. On July 1\, 1999 he assumed his position as Vice-President and Director of Church Ministries and Conferences for Chosen People Ministries. Rich received his D.Min. at Gordon- Conwell Seminary in 2004. \n\n\n\nRich works with churches throughout the country and abroad. He teaches Bible Conferences on various topics such as Jewish Evangelism\, Messianic Prophecy\, End-Time Prophecy\, The Church and Israel\, The Feasts of Israel\, and much more. He also ministers to local churches in Florida where he and his family reside. \n\n\n\n\n\nJim FoxThe Law has become the central focus of modern Judaism. It has also become an issue of contention among believers. On Saturday evening Jim will be sharing a message on “The Believer’s Relationship to the Law” \n\n\n\nJim Fox came to know the Lord through the work of Chosen People Ministries (then the American Board of Missions to the Jews) as a child in Coney Island\, Brooklyn. He was discipled over the years by a number of CPM missionaries. After getting an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and spending some time in the Navy\, he and his young family went to Dallas where Jim earned a ThM in Pastoral Ministry from Dallas Theological Seminary. He spent time on staff with Chosen People Ministries in the New York area for a number of years before going into pastoral ministry for 13 years. He returned to CPM to assist with the work in South Florida. \n\n\n\nJim helps lead three of the monthly Messianic Fellowships in South Florida\, leads the annual Fun in the Son outreach in South Florida\, and is an elder of Common Ground Church in Lake Worth Beach. He is married to his best friend and partner in ministry Rebecca. They have four children and six grandchildren. Jim & Rebecca lead worship at three of our Messianic Fellowships and also assist in worship at their church. \n\n\n\n\n\nRoy Schwarcz \n\n\n\nRoy Schwarcz was born and raised in New York City and grew up deeply connected to his Jewish heritage. After coming to faith in Yeshua as the promised Messiah of Israel\, he devoted his life to Jewish ministry and gospel outreach. \n\n\n\nRoy has served on college campuses\, led home Bible studies\, and helped plant Messianic congregations in the Chicago area and in Toronto\, Ontario. Today\, his primary ministry focus is in the Chicago region\, where he leads  Beth Sar Shalom \, a monthly Messianic Jewish fellowship that meets at Moody Church. He also serves with the  Olive Tree Congregation  in the Chicago suburbs\, the first congregation he planted with Chosen People Ministries. In addition to his local ministry\, Roy serves as Vice President for Fellowships and Congregations with Chosen People Ministries and is leading a team to establish a new outreach in the Bay Area\, beginning in the city of San Francisco. \n\n\n\nRoy is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and holds a Master of Arts in Theology from the  Charles L. Feinberg Center  at Biola University. He is the author of  Where Jesus Walked . Roy and his wife Joanne are blessed with four daughters and eleven grandchildren.

SUMMARY:Shalom New York 2026
DESCRIPTION:About Shalom New York\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvery summer\, believers from all over the United States gather in New York City for Shalom New York to proclaim the good news to our beloved Jewish people! \n\n\n\nWe know nothing is more important than the true hope\, peace (shalom)\, and forgiveness of sins we graciously receive through Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah. \n\n\n\nThis truth is especially critical right now when Jewish people around the world face a growing onslaught of antisemitism. Yet\, many Jewish people are more open to spiritual matters during this time! \n\n\n\nDuring Shalom New York\, we break up into small teams to go out and share the gospel at various locations throughout the city: in parks\, in subway stations\, and on the streets. In addition to our usual cutting-edge training\, outreach\, and follow-up\, we also feature a special Jewish cultural day\, Sabbath dinner celebration\, and more. \n\n\n\nIf you love to proclaim your faith in Jesus and have a heart for Israel and Jewish people\, Shalom New York 2026 may be one of the most significant opportunities you will have to be part of God’s work of drawing His people to Himself! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWhen you participate\, you will:\n\n\n\n\n\nLearn from some of our most experienced missionaries \n\n\n\nDiscover the Jewish community of New York City \n\n\n\nDo ministry in different contexts—urban and suburban\, Orthodox and secular\, etc. \n\n\n\nFollow God’s priority in evangelism—“to the Jew first” (Romans 1:16) \n\n\n\nBuild relationships with other believers who are passionate about God’s chosen people\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCost\n\n\n\n$1850with hotel accommodations$650without hotel accommodations\n\n\n\nThe cost includes food\, supplies\, T-shirts\, a backpack\, training and evangelistic materials\, cultural excursions\, and transportation within the city. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShow the love of Yeshua to Jewish communities throughout New York City\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTestimonials\n\n\n\n\nI handed an “I Found Shalom” tract to a 30-year-old Israeli man who said\, “I am looking for shalom.” I said\, “I have found shalom. . . .” Bill and I were able to share our testimonies and also how God loved us enough to sacrifice His only Son\, Yeshua\, the spotless Lamb once and for all\, for our sins. \nMarcelle\n\n\n\n\nI had been talking to Mr. Luis for a few minutes . . . . Suddenly he speaks up\, ”Now I have Jewish friends\, and you’re saying that this is for them?” Bingo! If nothing else\, I hope that I have represented to Luis that God cares for the Jews\, His people. That God has a plan extending far into history which He has not given up on. Yes\, believing in Jesus is very Jewish. \nJonathan\n\n\n\n\nAs I was passing out tracts\, a bus driver got off the bus and came up to me and said\, “Hey\, where did you come from?” I laughed as I handed him a brochure. He said\, “What are you doing out here?” I began to explain to him about Jesus. He said\, “Wow\, so amazing. God bless you. I wish I had more time” as he hurried off back to the bus. \nMissy\n\n\n\n\nA young student from NYU came up to the table asking if the information would help him with emotional struggles in his life due to serious medical problems and surgery he recently had. We were able to share that the God of peace can reveal Himself through Isaiah 53 as explained in the book he was holding. \nRon\n\n\n\n\nApply now!

SUMMARY:Rebuilding Israel Tour
DESCRIPTION:Walk where Yeshua (Jesus) walked and see how He is changing lives in Israel today. \n\n\n\nIsrael has changed tremendously since October 7\, 2023. The loss of life\, displacement\, and trauma continue to reverberate across the country. But God has not changed. Amid grief and heartbreak\, God is faithfully drawing Israelis to Himself. \n\n\n\nOur staff have seen great spiritual openness in Israel. Now you can come and see for yourself. \n\n\n\nEarly Bird: $2\,600 per person (register before June 1\, 2026)Regular: $2\,750 per person \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWHY THIS TOUR IS DIFFERENT\n\n\n\nMost Israel tours show you where Yeshua walked 2\,000 years ago. This tour also shows you what God is doing today—hearts opening\, questions being asked\, and conversations we have not heard in decades. \n\n\n\nThis tour offers a rare opportunity to experience firsthand how God is moving in Israel today. You will travel with an experienced Israeli tour operator who monitors conditions daily\, and we have strong security protocols in place. If anything changes during the tour\, we will communicate clearly and adjust plans as needed. And do not worry—there is so much to see and experience in Israel! \n\n\n\nYou will not just see the land. You will meet the people. \n\n\n\n\nVisit our Tel Aviv ministry locations.\n\n\n\nMeet the faithful missionaries your support makes possible.\n\n\n\nHear powerful testimonies from Israelis who have come to know Yeshua.\n\n\n\n\nWalking the biblical sites brings Scripture to life. You will gain a deeper understanding of God’s promises\, His purposes for Israel today\, and His faithfulness through every generation. You will walk where Yeshua walked\, pray where He prayed\, and stand in the land to which He will return. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE\n\n\n\nMinistry in Action\n\n\n\n\nTel Aviv Ministry LocationsVisit our rental center and meet our staff members who have continued serving the Lord faithfully. We strongly recommend travel insurance. \n\n\n\nCan I get a roommate?Yes. We will match you with a same-gender roommate. A private room costs $1\,520 extra. \n\n\n\n\nTravel Logistics\nWhat about flights?Book your own flights to Ben Gurion Airport (TLV). Arrive by 4 p.m. on October 20. The first event is dinner at 6 p.m. in Tel Aviv. For returning home\, we advise you to look for flights which leave in the early hours of October 31. Most transatlantic flights leave between midnight and 6 a.m. We recommend arriving at the airport three hours before your scheduled departure\, so you might need to leave for the airport the day before your flight (e.g.\, if your flight leaves at 1 a.m. on October 31\, we recommend you get to the airport by 10 p.m. on October 30). If you need to book an extra night at the hotel\, let us know immediately. \n\n\n\nDo I need a visa?Yes. You must apply for the ETA-IL entry permit ($7\, takes 1–2 days for approval) at least 72 hours before departure. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months. \n\n\n\nHow do I get to and from the airport?Take a taxi from the airport to the hotel ($50–75\, cash or card). It takes about one hour to get to Tel Aviv. The process is the same upon departure. \n\n\n\n\nPhysical Requirements\nDo I need to be fit?Moderate fitness helps. Most days involve 2–4 miles of walking in the sun with rest stops. You will encounter stone paths\, uneven terrain\, and 50–100 steps at some sites. \n\n\n\nIf you can walk 30–45 minutes at a time and manage stairs\, you will do great. Comfortable walking shoes are essential. \n\n\n\n\nWhat to Pack\nClothing: Light layers (cotton/linen)\, light jacket for evenings\, comfortable walking shoes\, sun protection (hat\, sunglasses\, sunscreen)\, swimsuit for the Dead Sea\, modest clothing for sacred sites (shoulders/knees covered)\, and one nicer outfit for dinners. \n\n\n\nElectronics: Plug adapter (Type C\, same as Europe). Most modern devices only need an adapter\, not a converter. Bring battery packs. \n\n\n\nOther Essentials: Passport\, medications (in original containers)\, Bible\, and journal. Be sure to keep your medications and a change of clothes in your carry-on. \n\n\n\n\nMoney & Currency\nWhat currency do I need?Israel’s national currency is the New Israeli Shekel (NIS). US dollars are accepted at tourist sites. Credit cards are accepted almost everywhere. ATMs are easy to find. Notify your bank before travel. \n\n\n\n\nFood & Dietary\nWhat about meals?Hotels serve kosher-style meals (dairy breakfast\, meat dinner). Breakfasts include cheeses\, fish\, vegetables\, eggs\, salad\, and pastries. Dinners are meat-focused with vegetarian options. Most hotels offer gluten-free choices. Lunches are on your own. \n\n\n\n\nDuring the Tour\nWill there be worship and teaching?Yes. The trip includes daily devotionals\, worship\, and Messianic teaching as a group. You will see Scripture come alive as you walk in the places where many of these events occurred. \n\n\n\nCan I extend my stay?Yes. Arrive early or stay after at your own expense. Contact our tour administrator before booking flights. We can often help with hotel reservations. \n\n\n\nWhat about my phone?Hotels have WiFi. Alert your phone company about overseas travel and get international data. We will create a WhatsApp group for tour communication. \n\n\n\n\nRooming & Occupancy\nAccommodations are based on double occupancy. Single rooms are available for an additional $1\,520 single supplement. Please note that triple occupancy rooms are not available for this tour. \n\n\n\nIf you select double occupancy but do not have a roommate\, we will match you with a same-gender roommate. \n\n\n\n\nItinerary\nPreliminary Schedule (subject to change) \n\n\n\nDay 1 – Monday\, Oct 19Depart from the United States. \n\n\n\nDay 2 – Tuesday\, Oct 20 – Tel AvivWelcome to Israel!
