Church Ministries Coordinator

As a Church Ministries Coordinator, you will interact with pastors, church secretaries or missions’ chairpersons to secure speaking engagements and presentation opportunities for Chosen People Ministries’ missionaries and representatives.

CMC Position Particulars

Location of Service: There are openings in the south Florida branch located in Boynton Beach. The others will be performed from one of our branches or remotely from your location if you are not near a branch. There is a mandatory week of training in the Florida Office.

Hours of Service: 20 per week

Starting Salary: Based on experience.

Character and Spiritual Life

  • The CMC is a position within a Christian/Messianic ministry and therefore the individual is expected to maintain the highest level of moral character and faith outlined in Scripture.
  • As Paul writes to Timothy, “Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you” (1Tim. 4:16).
  • They should be part of a local church/congregation with weekly attendance for fellowship.
  • Attendance at the weekly department chapel gathering is also expected.

Responsibilities and Requirements

Primary Role:

The primary role is to serve the Lord by securing meetings for the missionary staff and speakers. This provides Chosen People Ministries (hereafter CPM) with the opportunity to establish relationships with churches, educational institutions, denominational associations, conferences and other groups.  Through this position the Coordinator helps fulfill CPM’s mission statement which is to pray for, evangelize, disciple, and serve Jewish people everywhere and to help fellow believers do the same.  The position also serves to help raise and maintain financial support for CPM.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contact churches in order to secure meetings
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with churches
  • Planning strategies to meet the goals set for each speaker
  • Appraise leads to determine potential for future ministry opportunities
  • Review church reports and feedback questionnaires to determine if future meetings are advisable.

Education, Skills and Experience:

  • A High School diploma minimally.
  • A desire and God-given burden to serve the Lord in reaching the Jewish people with the Gospel is essential.
  • Classes in communication and marketing are desirable.

Requirements:

  • A tenacious, positive, persevering, go-getter personality
  • Excellent computer skills are a must, with ability to use Word and Excel and email
  • Ability to consistently reach a minimum weekly goal of 300 plus calls per week for a 20-hour week (400 for a full time position) resulting in 2 meetings per week as set by the Church Ministries manager
  • Experience in marketing and sales would be a plus
  • Ability to handle being on the phone for most of the day
  • Clear speaking voice, easily understood, excellent telephone skills, uses proper grammar in speech and writing
  • Self-starter, quick learner, good trouble-shooter
  • Ability to research the internet and other sources for leads
  • Good organizational skills and basic office training
  • Ministry experience preferable with Jewish missions (but not necessary)

Experience:

Telemarketing and sales experience, customer service experience. Anything that involves dealing and communication with people would be desirable. Working previously in ministry. Sometimes having the position of pastor spouse helps also.
