But I want to pause and ask you—really, how are you?

If you’ve been feeling angry, scared, or alone—you’re not imagining things. You’re responding to something very real. So, the question becomes: How do we live in a world where evil still has so much influence? Is there a way forward?
Whatever one’s religious convictions, it would be difficult to deny that all people are capable of unspeakable cruelty. So how are people capable of heinous acts against their fellow humans?
