Devorah Chung

Devorah Chung’s journey with the Jewish people began long before she came to faith in Jesus. Her first clients in the business world in Hong Kong were Jewish, and her curiosity about their deep traditions and faith eventually led her to ask, “Why don’t the Jewish people believe in Jesus, who was Himself Jewish?” That question became a seed that God later caused to grow into a calling.

After coming to faith in 2005, Devorah was deeply moved by God’s promises to Israel in Scripture and began praying earnestly for the salvation of the Jewish people. In 2008, she joined Chosen People Ministries in Hong Kong, sensing God’s call through His Word: “Go to the house of Israel and speak My words to them” (Ezekiel 3:4). To prepare for this calling, she completed Jewish Studies at Moody Bible Institute in 2012 and earned her Master of Divinity in Messianic Jewish Studies at Talbot School of Theology in 2016.

In 2022, Devorah married Adam, a Jewish believer in Yeshua. Together, they joyfully serve at a Messianic congregation, Beth Sar Shalom Brooklyn, building community, discipling believers, and reaching out to their Jewish neighbors with the message of the Messiah.

Today, Devorah continues to serve through Chosen People Ministries in evangelism, discipleship, and cross-cultural training, especially among Jewish and Chinese believers. She can speak in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English in various topics. Her heart is to see Jewish people come to know their Messiah and to invite others to partner with her through prayer and financial support in reaching God’s chosen people in New York City.
