About D.N.

D.N. is a missionary with Chosen People Ministries serving in Brooklyn, New York. She grew up in a Mennonite home in the Midwest as the daughter of a pastor who loved the Jewish people and instilled that love in his children. Coming to faith at a very early age, she and her family became heavily involved in prison ministry. This experience forged a deep commitment to sharing the gospel and furthering the kingdom, which continues to drive her today.

As a child and teenager, her interest in the Holocaust led her to read extensively on the subject. Facing the fact that millions of Jewish people perished never having heard the gospel impacted her greatly as did the stories of Gentiles who gave their lives during the Holocaust because of their love for God and the Jewish people. Over time, her love of Jewish music and culture grew along with her desire to pursue a life of ministry. She began to sense God calling her to the Jewish people. While attending music school in Ohio, she began exploring study opportunities in Israel and researching Jewish music for her senior project. Then, God opened the door and brought her to Jerusalem. It was there that God confirmed the calling that He placed on her life—to bring the gospel to the Jewish people.

After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in music, she spent a year living in Jerusalem before moving to New York City in 2015, where she continues to live and work in Jewish ministry. She joined the staff of Chosen People Ministries in July of 2021 and is currently studying toward her Master of Divinity in Messianic Jewish Studies at the Charles L. Feinberg Center. Using her musical gifts and talents, she actively serves on the worship team at Beth Sar Shalom Messianic Congregation and ministers throughout Brooklyn and Manhattan. D.N. has a vision to start a music program in New York to reach the nearly two million Jewish people in the area.
