Randall and Luda

Randall and Luda have lived in Israel for 19 years. They met there in 1989, but remained “just friends” until later when they reconnected in the United States. In New York City, they established a home-based messianic congregation and trained leaders from among Bukharan Jewish people in New York City. Bukharan Jews are an ancient culture from the “Old Silk Road” area, where Luda was born. Randall and Luda were instrumental in the translation of the “Jesus Film” into the Bukharan Jewish Language (Dec 2021). They moved back to Israel in 2016 after nearly 15 years in New York City.

Luda was born into a Bukharan Jewish family in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. After leaving the Soviet Union, she became a believer in New Zealand through reading the Bible and attending a “house group.” After immigrating to Israel, she met Randall at a Hebrew-speaking congregation in Jerusalem. Luda worked nearly 30 years as a nurse and midwife, and has a BA in Jewish Studies from Moody Bible Institute. She serves full time with Randall.

During the Gaza War, they helped raise funds and supervise projects for soldiers and others affected by the war, including elderly holocaust survivors. They also organized concerts and helped with other events at Army bases. They engage in music ministry, street evangelism and feeding the homeless, and lead an intercessory prayer group. At home in Jerusalem, they host many friends for Jewish holidays and events. They are also licensed Israeli Tour Guides.

Although not from Jewish background, Randall earned a PhD from a Belgian University, writing about Jeremiah’s New Covenant in Jewish Interpretation, a field of study which helps him discuss messianic prophecy with Orthodox Jews. He has a degree in Classical Greek, and a Master of Divinity in Jewish Studies, and studied Hebrew and Jewish history at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is a published musician and composer.

Randall and Luda reside in Israel near Jerusalem, with their daughter, Eliana.
