Israeli Team Rescues Survivor of Earthquake in Thailand and Myanmar

The recent terrible earthquake in Thailand and Myanmar brought international search-and-rescue teams from all over the world. Israel was the first team to arrive in Bangkok, Thailand and immediately got to work searching for survivors. Using state-of-the-art technology, they quickly located and rescued a survivor buried under fifteen feet of rubble. Shaul Sharbany, director of global marketing and sales of Camero-Tech, which creates technology used in earthquake search and rescue, said, “We feel very proud when we save even one person. When you save one person’s life, you save the lives of their family members and friends. When you save one person, you save the whole world—that is what it means to be on site for us.”
The Xaver system can provide real-time detection and precise locations of survivors who are stuck under debris. This technology can detect living people, even sixty feet away. Sharbany explained, “The survivors are usually wounded and trapped in very narrow spaces. It is hard for them to breathe. Our system can sense even the smallest movement of a person. This means that if he is trapped but alive and his chest is going up and down even a little bit, our system can sense him.”
Israel also sent a team to Myanmar from IsraAID, a non-profit organization that was established twenty years ago to respond to global crises. It is the third time an Israeli team has been sent to Myanmar. This team will focus on access to safe water, sanitation, hygiene, and psychosocial support.
Please pray for all who are affected by the earthquakes in Thailand and Myanmar.
Ahead of Passover, Papers Removed from Western Wall

Before every Rosh Hashanah and Passover holiday, the special notes with prayers placed between the stones at the Western Wall are removed to make room for future prayers. The Western Wall in Jerusalem is a holy site as it is the last remaining, intact wall that was closest to the Temple, destroyed in 70 CE. People from all over Israel and the world place prayers to the Lord between the crevices. This year, tens of thousands of prayers also came in through a website where people who cannot come to the wall in person submit prayers that workers will then insert on their behalf. According to Jewish tradition, documents that contain the name of God, as many of these pieces of paper do, must be ritually buried. Accordingly, the papers taken from the wall are buried together in a geniza (a burial for holy items) on the Mount of Olives.
Please pray that those who are looking for the answers to their prayers will find peace and answers in Jesus.
Israel Releases Proof that Iran Funded Hamas’ October 7 Invasion

The Israel Defense Forces recently released documents that soldiers intercepted upon the initial ground invasion of Gaza. Defense Minister Israel Katz said that the documents showed how Hamas, specifically now-deceased Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar and Mohammed Deif, requested $500 million from Iran to “destroy Israel” around the time of the October 7, 2023 invasion. This request was approved by Iran, and funds were sent to Gaza as well as weapons and elite military training. Despite Iran’s limited finances, they supported Hamas due to what they saw as “the supreme importance of embracing conflict against Israel and the US.” Defense Minister Israel Katz wants the world to realize that Iran is the “head of the snake” that directs evil actions by Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and terror groups in Syria and Iraq.
Please pray that continued evil plans by Iran and its axis are crushed.
Renewed Love at Chosen People Ministries Bible Study in Israel

“Location, location, location,” they say. We are so grateful for God’s wisdom and foresight in placing the Tel Aviv Messianic Center in a location with easy access from anywhere in the country. A new believer, who has recently moved, is still able to attend our events, including our ladies’ Bible studies, brunches, young adults events, and worship nights. At a recent Bible study, she came to understand, through the text, that she does not need to be ashamed of the past because Yeshua (Jesus) took our sins and shame when He died on the cross.
At the same meeting, another new believer shared about how the Lord has been refining her in another area. She shared with such passion about her love for Yeshua and how He is working in her life. Another lady, who has been a believer for many years, commented about how this new believer is still in the honeymoon stage with Yeshua. Someone else remarked how we all need to return to our first love, Yeshua. It is so beautiful to witness new believers encouraging those who have been walking with the Lord for a while to fall in love with Yeshua afresh. At the same time, we observe the new believers encouraged by the honest sharing of other faithful believers persevering through the ups and downs of their walk with the Lord.
Please pray God will continue to speak and change lives through Chosen People Ministries’ Bible studies in Israel.
