About Our Work in Florida

The South Florida branch presently has four monthly Messianic fellowships, as well as a fifth one in Central Florida. In addition to personal evangelism and discipleship, we work with local churches to challenge and encourage believers to connect with the Jewish community around them and proclaim their faith in a sensitive and compelling way. We also host an annual short-term outreach program called Fun in the Son.

Our goal over time is to work with our volunteers and through local churches to develop a network of fellowships and home Bible studies in order to have a significant impact on one of the largest Jewish communities in the United States.

Currently, our ministry is focused in Palm Beach County, and Broward County, and we recently expanded further north into the Orlando area.

Messianic Congregations in Florida

History of Jewish Work in Florida

In 1943, Chosen People Ministries began ministering to the thousands of Jewish people moving to Florida, focusing primarily in the Miami area. The Klayman’s opened the Beth Sar Shalom Messianic Congregation in Hollywood, Florida, in 1971. Over the years, the Jewish community moved further north to what is now known as the Gold Coast between Fort Lauderdale and Palm Beach. We now focus in this area.
