Your Mission Report: October 2026

In Tokyo: You helped create a place for meaningful conversations.

Picture yourself sitting around a Sabbath table in Tokyo. The candles are glowing. Dinner is underway. And around the table, a conversation begins that could have eternal significance.

That is what happened when Hiram*, a young Israeli studying in Japan, joined the Sabbath dinner at the Chosen People Ministries guest house in Tokyo.

Conversations around the Sabbath table often touch on life in Japan, Israel, travel, and family. But sooner or later, deeper questions emerge: What do we believe about God? What does He want from us? How can we truly be reconciled to Him?

When Hiram said he felt Judaism and Christianity were essentially making the same claims, our staff had an opportunity to open the Scriptures and share one of the most beautiful stories: the parable of the prodigal son.

Together, they talked about a Father who welcomes His wandering child home. They talked about grace, forgiveness, reconciliation—and why our relationship with God cannot be earned through simply being “good enough.”

And Hiram listened.

You helped make that conversation possible. You support the hostel, its ministry workers, the welcoming Sabbath table, and new opportunities to meet Jewish people like Hiram where they are.

We do not know yet what God will do in his heart, but a seed has been planted.

Please pray for Hiram—and for the many young Israelis God continues to bring through our doors in Tokyo.

In London: You helped take the good news into the heart of the city.

October Mission Report

What happens when you take the good news to the streets of one of the world’s great cities?

You never know who will stop to listen or what conversation God may initiate.

During this year’s “Shalom London” outreach, ten of our team members proclaimed the gospel throughout London. They handed out gospel tracts in busy Tube stations, talked with people in parks, and set up book tables in famous public squares.

And then, one day, a Jewish man approached the team.

He explained that he had been raised in both a Jewish and Christian home and that he meets regularly with a group of men at the college where he teaches to discuss religious questions.

Then came the unexpected invitation: Would someone from the Chosen People Ministries team come to his group and share what they believe?

In a separate divine appointment, clothing was a conversation starter. Several team members wearing “I Found Shalom” T-shirts sat beside a Jewish couple at dinner. “We love your shirts,” the couple said.

They had never met Messianic Jews before—and suddenly, a simple T-shirt had opened the door to a meaningful conversation about who they were and why they were there.

You make these encounters possible. Your prayers and support put gospel workers on the streets, equip them to share their faith, and create opportunities to tell Jewish people about Yeshua (Jesus).

You may never meet the people whose lives you touch through your giving. But you are part of every conversation, every open door, and every seed planted. Thank you!
