Israelis Encounter the Love of Yeshua in Unexpected Ways

When the Kaufman* family set out on their post-army adventure across the United States, they expected a typical sightseeing trip—not a life-changing encounter with the love of Yeshua. But God had other plans.
As tensions between Israel and Iran escalated, their plans to return home were suddenly canceled. Stranded in the United States with no available flights back to Israel, the Kaufmans turned to one of our host homes for help—and found themselves welcomed into a network of warm, open-hearted believers across the country.
The Kaufmans stayed with at least eight of our host families. In each home, they were met with kindness, prayer, and genuine care.
One of the most remarkable moments of their trip came during their stay in Pennsylvania. Expecting to be near Washington, DC, they were surprised to find themselves in a small town more than an hour away—and even more surprised to learn that their hosts were Iranian Jewish believers in Jesus.
On June 13, the very day Israel struck back against Iran, the Kaufmans were sitting around a dinner table with Iranian Jewish followers of Yeshua, marveling at the extraordinary timing and the deep peace that filled the home.
Before they departed from the last host home, the husband gladly received a Complete Jewish Bible in Hebrew, exclaiming, “I had no idea there was such a thing—a Hebrew Tanakh and New Testament together!” His wife immediately began reading aloud from a Hebrew Bible storybook to their children.
Though their journey began with uncertainty, the Kaufmans are now carrying home the story of Yeshua—and the living witness of believers who showed them His love in tangible ways.
Thank you for your faithful partnership. Because of you, Israeli travelers like the Kaufmans are encountering the good news in unexpected places and unforgettable ways.

Lives Changed at Camp Kesher

This past summer’s Camp Kesher was a powerful time of connection, growth, and transformation for children and youth. From the first day of camp, laughter, worship, and friendship filled the air—and by week’s end, hearts had been deeply touched by the love of Yeshua.
Throughout the week, campers engaged with creative Bible teaching, interactive activities, and heartfelt times of worship and prayer. God moved in beautiful ways:
Two campers made first-time decisions to put their faith in Yeshua, and two others chose to renew their commitment to Him. When these young people stepped forward, their friends gathered around them, laying hands on them and praying together—a tender reminder that the message of Yeshua is still transforming lives today.
Camp Kesher is more than just a summer experience; It is a place where young people encounter the truth of God’s Word and the warmth of His love. It is also a time when our team can come alongside parents, encouraging them as they nurture their children’s faith at home.
We are so thankful for your partnership in making Camp Kesher possible. Because of your prayers and support, Jewish children and Messianic families are being strengthened, encouraged, and equipped to walk boldly with Yeshua—together.
Shalom New York 2025: Sharing Hope in the City

This past summer’s Shalom New York outreach once again filled the streets of New York City with the message of peace and hope in Yeshua. Fifty-five volunteers from across the country gathered to form seven teams that shared the good news throughout the city—from bustling parks to subway platforms, from Wall Street to college campuses.
Our teams reported countless gospel conversations with Jewish people, Israelis, and others seeking truth. Many were open, curious, and grateful to meet followers of Yeshua who love God and people of Israel. Here are a few of the most inspiring encounters:
- Heartfelt Conversations with Israelis: Dozens of Israelis engaged in meaningful talks about faith and prophecy. Many left with hugs, words of thanks, and literature explaining the messianic hope found in the Hebrew Scriptures.
- A Dialogue with Future Rabbis: One team spoke for nearly an hour with three Orthodox Jewish men studying to become rabbis. The discussion centered on the Jewishness of the New Testament and the Passover setting of Yeshua’s Last Supper. Before parting, one of them asked for a Hebrew New Testament—a powerful sign of spiritual curiosity.
- A Divine Appointment in Union Square: A Christian man approached one of our teams and shared that he had been praying for help to reach Jewish people. God answered that prayer on the spot as our workers encouraged and equipped him to share the message of Yeshua with confidence and sensitivity.
- Unexpected Encounters in Washington Square Park: God brought together an Iranian Jewish man and a Jewish woman from NYU for in-depth conversations about God and Yeshua. Both exchanged contact information with our workers and expressed genuine interest in continuing the dialogue.
- Reaching beyond Boundaries near Wall Street: Two Muslim men listened intently as a team member read from Romans 10 and Ephesians 2, showing how Yeshua’s death and resurrection offer reconciliation for all people. They left with evangelistic literature and much to consider.
- A Tender Moment in the Subway: One Jewish woman, initially upset by the idea that God could have a Son, was shown Proverbs 30:4 and other prophetic passages. The encounter ended not in debate, but in mutual respect, hugs, and tears—a glimpse of God’s love breaking through barriers.
Across New York City, hearts were touched and conversations about Yeshua were opened. Many seeds of faith were planted, and our teams continue to follow up with new friends who are exploring the truth of the Messiah.
Thank you for making Shalom New York possible through your prayers and support. Because of your partnership, the message of Yeshua—our source of hope, rest, and salvation—continues to reach Jewish people and all who seek Him in the heart of this great city.
From Battlefront to Battlefront, You Are Sharing the Good News

Your Israeli workers recently traveled from war-ravaged Israel to war-torn Ukraine, all to share the love of Yeshua with Jewish people and other victims of these violent conflicts.
“During one of our days of outreach, the city came under heavy missile bombardment,” says one worker. “We suddenly found ourselves in the middle of it—loud explosions, sirens, smoke, and terror. By God’s grace, we were kept safe, but the experience was harrowing.”
Despite the bombing, our team was able to present services that were open to the public and saw a great response.
“There was an openness we rarely see in calmer times. We were able to preach the message that changes everything: Yeshua saves. He is near to the brokenhearted. Jesus’ light shines in the darkness.”
Thank you for sending the message of Messiah to Jewish people in Israel and in Ukraine. Your Chosen People Ministries team requests “Please continue to intercede—for Israel, for Ukraine, for the released hostages, and for salvation to spread in the middle of sorrow and strife. The harvest is still plentiful, even in wartime.” Amen!
